The anticipation ranges from dread to eagerness as the lives of future leaders, scientists, doctors, nurses, entertainers, builders, educators, farmers, friends, etc will be shaped and revealed with each day’s unfoldment. Tomorrow’s world depends on today’s educational success. Summer’s over. It’s time.

Summer’s now coming to an end
Time for millions and all their friends
To head back into classrooms again.
Soon hot days will finally turn cool
And there they’ll be, sitting in school
Teachers challenged to fill minds full
Teachers trying to value each voice
Parents, friends supporting each choice
Developing good citizens from girls and boys
We all matter in each student’s progress
We all have a stake in each teacher’s success.
