Franklin County artist, Gill Pollard, will participate in an "Underhundred" show March 13, 2008 at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke.  This event will be held from 7:30 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. and has been organized by The Arts Council of the Blue Ridge.

Pollard, a native of Lexington, Virginia, abandoned life in the corporate world in 1999 to pursue art as a full time career.  He currently has work on display at Carol Yopp's Wildlife Art Gallery in Rocky Mount and also has 30 paintings on display at Black Dog Salvage in Roanoke.  For more information about Gill Pollard you may go to www.sunnybrookfarm.us.

An "Underhundred" show is an event designed to allow art collectors on a budget an opportunity to add original art to their collections at an affordable price, while allowing emerging artists a venue to promote their talent.

The show will include 2 and 3 dimensional visual art, film, dance, performance art, music and crafts.  All work included in the event will be priced under $100 and will be available for purchase that evening.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of all items will benefit the Arts Council of the Blue Ridge.  For more information about this event you may call 540-342-5202.

There was no character limit indication above the comment box at the time of Gill's posting. I have adjusted the site to allow for 500 (plus a few extra) characters to be submitted per post. We are sorry for this error.
