Bernard's Landing

FranklinCountyFun.com was on location to cover the car, truck, motorcycle and boat show by the Smith Mountain Lake Powerboating Association to raise money for the Scruggs Dive and Rescue Team.  This event was able to raise $4,200.00 that will be used to replace old and aging equipment that is vital to the team's operations.  The event got started at 11:00 AM and went until 4:00 PM.  Cars were numerous.  The trucks and motorcycles were running about equal in the number that turned out for this event.  The boats seemed to be missing in action and were weakly represented.  The heat was almost unbearable but this did not seem to deter a good turnout for the show.

Many prizes were given out during multiple raffle drawings. The big drawing of the day was the 50/50 which raised $300.00 for the Dive and Rescue Team and an additional $300.00 went into the pocket of the lucky person, Paul Guard, that held the winning ticket.  As you know, FranklinCountyFun.com believes in letting our photos tell the whole story of the day, so be sure to check out our photo gallery sets for this event.
